i want to be a cat

Old content migrated from a very long time ago…

again i woke early this morning, the tick-tock of regression rousing me from an unpleasant dream (the content of which i could not remember as is most common for me, although i do remember that i was dreaming just a moment before waking). i chose appropriate clothing for the contract i was to try to fulfil later that day, and packed a spare change of clothing (with appropriate accessories).

i arrived at matt’s just before midday. we drank some espresso made with hot lava java coffee (twice the normal caffeine as it is). i’d like to think that this woke me up somewhat for the rest of the day. stoo appeared and we headed over to another building in umist, to carry out the contract.

sadly the intended recipient of our visit (so well planned after reading a mail that was sent to all umist students regarding donation of blood) was not in, so i left a calling card (the infamous silver on black “killall -9”, more commonly read as “killall with extreme prejudice”).

we met there and pottered around a little again, buying some high speed films for the upcoming dream theater concert (“no professional type cameras”) and then moved (with stoo in tow) to starbuck’s for more coffee.

we left the trafford centre and boarded the bus to get back to the metro station. the bus driver recognised us - possibly it was the combination of 4 men dressed in black (almost completely head to foot), one of them wearing a black leather trenchcoat, cat collar (2 inch spikes) and a jester’s hat. i did say i brought a change of clothes.

we returned to matt’s where we drank more coffee. some other random students from the building popped into matt’s kitchen. one of the girls made a squeal noise when she saw me (at least, i assume it was that). i am not sure whether it was one of shock or happy surprise - somehow i believe it to be the former.

with half an hour of the day remaining, we headed our own ways. i arrived home ecstatic, for no apparent reason.
